“Tone of Kon”

Kon is pronounced like the Japanese word 紺 (kon).
During the Sengoku period, samurai believed the sound of kon resembled kachi-iro (勝ち色), meaning “winning color,” and thus regarded it as a symbol of good fortune.
We preserve this pure indigo dyeing tradition—
